We are seeking an individual to work 19 hours per week over 3 days with the flexibility to provide relief cover as needed.
The individual needs to have good communication and interpersonal skills. A caring and compassionate nature with a serious appreciation of confidentiality. The environment is fast-paced and unpredictable; therefore, candidates must be at ease working under pressure and capable of multitasking.
The role will predominately encompass daily interactions with patients on the telephone, face to face and email, signposting to an appropriate healthcare professional, processing prescription requests from patients and admin tasks as required by the clinical team, assisting in the smooth running of the surgery.
The candidate will work in an open plan office alongside team members, a very supportive environment with full training provided.
Working hours will be Monday 8:30am to 12:30pm, Thursday 8am to 6:30pm and Friday 8:30am to 1:30pm (scheduled break on Thursday). There is a requirement to work one Saturday in 3 as part of a rota (we are open one Saturday a month).
Starting pay will be £11.50 p/hr until trained. Benefits include 5.6 weeks holiday inclusive of bank holidays pro rata rising to 6.6 weeks pro rata after a year’s service. Uniform, parking (as part of a rota) and membership of the NHS pension scheme with a 23% employers’ contribution.
