Parentalk - The Teenage Years

A great new course that covers vital topics for parents of teenagers

Are you looking for advice on parenting teenagers? Wanting to discuss ideas and situations with other teenage parents? We’d love to have you attend our Parenting Teenagers course. The sessions will use resources from Care for the Family, including presentations from Rob Parsons OBE, Katharine Hill, broadcaster Carrie Grant, educational psychologist Dave Lumsdon and youth specialist Rachel Gardner.

‘The truth is, though, that sometimes the older our children get, the harder it becomes as parents because now, although we love them just as much, we don’t have as much control over them. Of course, some children may sail through the teenage years, but more likely there will be some tension, perhaps even a little trauma, as they move into adulthood, re-adjusting their relationship with us and trying to work out their relationship with the outside world.’ (Care for the Family)

For further information or to book contact Sandra Williamson 01884 235926 or Viv Southall

Course dates are :

Monday 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th January

5th and 26th February 2018 7.30-9.30pm

Cullompton Community Centre EX15 1JX

GP Changes...

Dr Stephen Straughan is retiring from the practice on 31st March 2018.  His patients will automatically transfer to our new GP Partner, Dr Miranda Hill.

Dr Roberts, Dr Bodger, Dr Harper and Dr Heidelberg will continue as normal and patients will be able to continue seeing the GP of their choice.

** Be Aware **

We'd like to inform you of the change you will face should you sign up to any payable online GP services that have recently been advertised on television (e.g. www.pushdoctor.co.uk).  This is different to the online access registration service that we offer at Bramblehaies Surgery.

These companies act as a GP practice and offer online GP consultations, prescription services and more.

Should you opt in and register on any of these websites it will trigger a new practice registration with NHS England. This, in turn will de-register/deduct you as a patient at Bramblehaies Surgery.

This will mean that any service (consultation, prescription etc) notes that are recorded will not be transferred to your current patient record at the practice.

Please ensure to check their terms and conditions prior to accepting any agreement.

Let your friends and family know.

We are currently experiencing problems in obtaining adult Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations.  This is a global shortage and will hopefully be resolved in the New Year.
