When the surgery is closed, and you need a doctor, please phone NHS 111.

calendarRoutine appointments can be made by telephoning or by attending personally at the surgery. Appointments are bookable up to 6 weeks in advance.

We also offer extended hour surgeries - with appointments available between 6:30 and 7:30 pm throughout the week - these appointments are particularly beneficial for workers.

For urgent appointments follow the duty doctor system.

Duty Doctor System

We operate this system daily for urgent problems that cannot wait for a routine appointment and problems you feel may need attention the same day (e.g. infections).

Please contact the surgery to utilise this system.

Please be advised that the outcome could be an advice call, a prescription being issued, a face to face appointment with the duty doctor at the surgery or a home visit.

Telephone Advice

Generally telephone advice is provided via the duty doctor system, but if you need to speak to your usual GP then please contact the surgery to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

From time to time student doctors join the team as part of their training.  If you prefer the student not to be in attendance during your consultation, please notify reception.

Named Accountable GP

All our patients are free to see any GP of their choice, but each patient has a named accountable GP on their clinical record, and this is the GP they are registered with.  If you are unsure who this is then please ask at reception.  This GP has overall responsibility for you care, but you can request an appointment with any doctor that is available.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
